Some states impose curfews for drivers under 18.Louisiana does it for under 17....16 yr old drivers cannot drive past 10pm Sun~Thu and not past 11 on Fri and Sat.

Crazy; I'm not positive, but I think where I grew up (MN), we had a provisional license unil 18, which meant you couldn't get in an accident, get more then two tickets, or drive in a first class city (Twin Cities) until you had your normal license. Never heard of a state that restricted your driving in certain cities due to having a....."novice" license. That's crazy. But ~ I guess I can see the wisdom of not wanting newbie drivers stuck in rush hour in Minneappolis (sp?) or St. Paul and freaking out behind the wheel.
