Yes a ford rearend is major....thats why you see many chevy's with ford 9" rearends...Yea the jag is 35,000$ thats how much my dad paid for his over here....also they are made over here so its alot cheaper and if you go to where they are built you get a huge discount for picking up your own car...

the X-Type really isn't all that fast at all....

I don't know much about jags, but I thought they had v12's. Is that some kind of small coupe that they make now? Because with those stats the jag would lose so much off the line that it could not catch up.

thing is about tranys and rearends is they easy to change. hell with a nicely built motor and the right rear end i could built a truck that would whip *** on any stang or camaro around. is not whats there ist what you do with what you have. and if aoll this stuff yall have been talkin about is stock cars hell who wants to race anything stock.

 

 

Rearends and transmission aren't cheap though. A stock transmission and rearend isn't even that cheap, so if you buy an after market one, you're going to pay a grip.

Jag offers a 3.0L w/ 240hp, 4.2L w/ 300hp, 4.2L R w/ 400hp, 4.0L w/ 290hp, 4.0L w/ 370hp, 2.5L w/ 192hp, 3.0L w/ 227hp, 4.2L w/ 294hp, and a 4.2L w/ 390hp...to my knowledge.

acttuly gears is alls you have to change in ford and chevy rearends and you can do that for less that $150 on average. tranys not sure on price but thats what the want ads are for you can always find a trany so where but yeh itlll cost. but thats whats saving accounts ar4e for.
