Tri-mester system at OSU. Fall, Winter, Spring. We have a summer term too, but hardly anybody stays for it.

Thats what we call the quarter system...hence 4 terms a year. So yall get a break what every 9 weeks or so?

Winter break is from the week of Dec. 2nd until the first Monday after New Years.
Spring break is March 25th until April 3rd.

Summer term has three seperate "mini-terms" in it. Each class goes through a 10 week course in 3 weeks, so you can catch up on what you're missing really quickly.

I'm on the quarter system. 10 weeks per quarter, plus a week for finals. I've fluctuated with units over the years. First year I was doing 16-18. Last year I only averaged 12-16. Currently taking 16.5 units. Having 5 finals is lame. Summer school is gay too, which I have to take.

I'd drop out before I took summer school. I don't have any of my close friends within 200 miles, and it gets pretty old hanging out with people I can't stand up here on campus. I am pretty close to considering taking an extended summer and taking spring term off.
