no. i never had a problem with american cars. this car has 145,000 miles on it and i drove to florida and back with it, and to minnesota and back with it and only had to do normal maintnance on it. my last car was a jeep grand cherokee with over 250k on it and only had to replace the radiator
I've had lots of bad luck in the past with domestics, so now I'm a little jaded.. They have the know-how to make good quality cars, they just choose not to.. Reliability isn't always an issue either, rather it seems to be the overall fit and finish that's lacking.. Interior pieces that break, glitches in the electronics, paint falling off after a few years.. Shit like that.. I figure for the same price as a domestic, I can buy an import that built with quality and attention to detail, and has a much better resale value because everybody knows imports are generally better built cars..

Didn't mean to make it sound like I was crapping on your ride at all.. It's just my preference and I think it came out wrong in my previous post.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

it depends on wich domestic you buy. like escorts and grand ams and shit like that fulls apart, but their mid level cars like grand prixs and them hold up pretty well. the only interior piece that has broken on my car is something i broke myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif i kinda don't like the car cause it looks like a grandpa cruiser.

exactly. i have a 95 ford taurus. the plastic trim on both my a pillars broke off, the rubber between the car and the doors always falls down and i have to jam it back up, and my whole dash starts shaking and vibrating really bad whenever i go over 65mph.

This is similar to my experiences.. Ford is the worst for stuff like this.. It makes me sick to hear them preach 'Quality is Job 1'.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

And I agree teebone, the mid-level cars are generally better built than the Sunflowers and Cavys, but still can't touch the imports, usually for right around the same price.. And it hurts to have to send my car-buying dollars to Japan instead of keeping it local, but when I'm spending that much money on something, I'm gonna get the best product I can for the money..

Even though you crapped on my ride, I still wub j00 Corey2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/inlove.gif.6846f78f06b405429ef3a00129788a2a.gif
