No, since it's not an adapter like the 420i.. It's just a cable, and only the latest decks are setup for it..is the new adapter compatible with the older decks like the 9835?
And it only has the ability to store 255 names in any category, ie: 255 artists, albums, or songs.. Playlists are your friend..the alpine one you can search artist, albums, songs, and i beleieve playlists. there is about a second delay between changing things. the only problem is when you have a lot of artist on your ipod, and you wanna scroll to one on the bottom of the list
Painfully.. Compared to how fast it is searching thru the iPod itself.. You can search my Artist, Album, or Playlist.. Again, playlists are your friend.. And there's always the random option..How slow is the Alpine unit?
What does it offer in terms of searching? Do I have the same options that I do on my iPod, like artist/album/track/random, etc?
I'd like to know how fast it really is.. Alpine says it's supposed to be as fast as searching thru the iPod itself.. It's also supposed to give you more search options, such as Genre.. So, it's supposed to be more transparent and be more like using an actual iPod..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif pics!!!!
My friend got a 9856 this weekend Cy, I'll tell you how it goes w/ ipod.
Very.. You'll see.. That's why I have mine on random (M.I.X. in Alpine-speak) 99% of the time.. Make lots of playlists and you'll be good to go.. It supports up to 255 playlists, so you should be able to group your tunes however you like..scrolling is slow?
