For goodness sakes let the Aussies take care of the Grilling, your bound to embarass yourself.

How much for a bottle, shipped??

Lemme see if I can shed some light on that for you, Cy.

Australians have this strange tendency of verbally abbreviating most multisyllabic words and said abbreviations tend to end with a long E sound.

Barbeque gets shortened to 'barbie', Christmas gets shortened to Chrissie, etc etc etc.

Additionally Aussies, even moreso than southern Americans, LOVE to bbq and weather permitting and given the choice they would eat stuff off of the grill 3 meals a day 365 days a year. On top of that as a people (and I really hate to make broadsweeping generalizations but this one doesn't paint them in a bad light so I can cope) they truly, truly enjoy mass social gatherings. Any excuse to invite a pile of folks over and fire up the 'barbie' is a good excuse. Drop-ins are rarely seen as an inconvenience so when someone shows up unexpectedly it isn't uncommon to hear someone say "Such-n-Such just showed up ~ throw another shrimp on the barbie!" or something along those lines depending on what happens to be that occasion's fare of choice. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My wife, my brother-in-law, my mother-in-law, and all of my wife's dearest friends who have had the chance to sample my outdoor culinary skills would disagree //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No, SUB, the special ingredient sadly is something that is not available anywhere in Oz and I will have to have it shipped to me on a regular basis.

Thankfully I have already organized that with my parents //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm pretty certain as I have no direct first-hand experience with Canadians outside of talking to them online in various venues.

That I am aware of I have never met a Canadian in person. Not that I have avoided it or anything it just never has come up. Canadians seem to have little use for Louisiana's heat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

My grandparents on my mother's side have both long since gone to live with their Heavenly Father though before their passing they lived in a small town by the name of Vivian about 40 miles or so north of where I live.

My dad's father passed away in 1953 so I never got to meet him.

Dad's mother is thankfully still with us and lives in the same city that I do.
