And don't make fun of Cy talking about "the one."

One day you'll understand exactly what that's like. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif (hopefully)

Good for you, Cy. I know exactly how that feels. I found my "one" and married her. Once I found her I was not going to let her get away //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Not to be an ***, Syko, but if I were presented with the choice of moving permanently at this instant but the drawback was that I could never log onto the discussion forums on www.CarAudio.com ever again??? You guys would never see me here again and I'd not think twice about it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif(Pssst......there's internet access in Australia too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif Just because I move to another country doesn't mean I won't still be active here....I'll just be logging on at very different times of the day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif)

Cy, it isn't news on the visa, sadly, but more a case of the two of us are sick and bloody tired of being on opposite sides of the planet from one another. We've been talking about the logistics of my just coming there and waiting it out until the application goes through. I could renew a tourist's visa for up to a total of one year (four 3 month increments) and at the end of a year if the application still hasn't gone all the way through I could just goto New Zealand for a few days (only about a 2-3 hour plane ride away from Australia) and then re-enter the country and start that whole tourist's visa process all over again.

The only real downside to it is on a tourist visa I cannot legally work. As my wife does HR for a living she takes a very dim view on working any job that pays "under the table" so that really wouldn't be an option either.

But we're talking about it and as things stand currently I very well may be going to Australia in a month or so - but we've not come to a final decision just yet. It would be nice to be able to track down DBB just to smack him in the face, though...... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Wazzup. AllStar? Long time no see, friend //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Syko? You're dating a Canadian lawyer lady, too??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
Sounds like a plan for sure.. I was going to suggest something like this to you before, but I knew you would eventually come around.. I didn't know working 'under the table' wasn't going to be an option for you though.. Regardless, go be with your wife.. It's where you belong..

Oh, and slap DBB for all of us!!

This may sound gay, But do what your heart tells you.
I apply no homosexual-ness to that, dude.

And it's not really what my heart is telling me...this relationship isn't a "maybe" for her and I anymore. I married the woman! It's just fighting the war of getting to legally relocate permanently to what I have come to understand is THE most difficult industrialized, democratic nation on the planet to gain permanent residency in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I had to actually LOL @ that.

My previous job took me down to south Louisiana to retrieve the live product used by the seafood restaurant I worked for.

One of the suppliers we used had these two Cajun dudes that worked the docks who I became pretty good friends with.

One of those guys, a fella named Stacy, was always telling me that ~ that once I got back over to Oz I needed to throw another shrimp on the barbie just for him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Plus - it got determined long ago (on my FIRST trip out there to meet her face-to-face back in 2001) that once I am moved there for good I am permanently in charge of all BBQing duties //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I make an outstanding (not to sound conceited or anything but fact is fact) homemade BBQ sauce that quite frankly, ought to be its own food group //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
