Yep...I have his business card. I got a quote on a set of Diamond Hex Components.

I told him you sent me....I said "I heard about this place from a guy named Jonathan (sry If I misspelled it...and I read somewhere in the thread that was your name) that drives a Red Geo" He new exactly who you were.

Yeah I know....List price was 549.00 + tax, After I told Him I worked at a shop he dropped the price to 480.00 + tax and He said he would give me the 3 year waranty even though I would be installing it myself. I know Its still BS...but I got a free Audio Edge Sticker...lawl. Nice guys there though.

There's a tall, skinny guy named Lane that works there and is the head of Tony's custom HT installs. I've known Lane since he was about 6 years old. He is how I found out about Audio Edge to begin with and consequently DAT

I am well aware that eBay can proxy bid for me.eBay cannot, however, keep my bid from being placed until the last few seconds of the listing.

I was once as active on the discussion boards on eBay as I am here now and have had this argument time and time again until I am blue in the face.

I do not see it being dishonest in any shape, fashion, or form. Until someone resolutely convinces me otherwise based on actual fact then I will continue to hold said belief.

As far as using a 3rd party service being a violation of the UA I sent a question asking exactly that to eBay CS. We'll see what they say about it.

I agree with that wholeheartedly, Supa! That's the whole point here....how, exactly, is it cheating? If someone proves to me that I am cheating in any shape, fashion, or form I will cease and desist immediately.

The Hexes in their day were the best that Diamond sells - predecessors to the D9s

Un fair advantage ( 3rd party software) to me is cheating.

Not everyone has the know how on where to find these things. And ebay doesnt provide nice little links for you to click on

I didn't know about it until I happened upon a discussion about it in the eBay discussion boards.

Those are freely accessible to any and everyone with an internet connection. They are setup the same as CA.com. You do not have to be a registered user to read the threads.
