Dre was commenting earlier that the 7998 was a bit limited in regards to the options he was looking for to run active.

And after looking at the negatives that earned said 7998 seller their 97% feedback I am even further unimpressed. They'd never see any of my money for sure.

Active, schmactive.. That's what crossovers are for..

And I wasn't necessarily talking about that auction in particular, just the deck in general.. Simply the best deck I've ever used in terms of SQ and useablility.. I'd buy one again in a second.. But I'm so happy with my D310 that anything else would be a step backwards.. If I ever had to go without a flipout, my top 2 choices would be a 7998, then a 9835.. One of these days I'll have an indash but I cannot see any major audio expenditures in my near future. Gotta save my pennies in anticipation of having to pay to move overseas.
