The laws will not effect those who respect others. Because it's kind of hard getting a noise violation ticket if you're respecting others...

For the most part this is true - but you know that those certain cops exist just looking for a reason to harrass someone so if you drive something that simply looks like it might have other-than-OEM audio within they'll be giving you the evil eye and/or writing you up whether you're actually offending or not.

That sucks, LA FTL! I didnt like that state anyway, too many mosquitoes, but I do see your point. I bump responsibly.

On a lighter note I just cut all the pieces for my new box, gotta put it together then double check the space for the battery and amp rack. Then wait on my amps.

I guess this is as good a place as any to introduce myself. I'm Jeff..36..married w/ 4 kids...4 girls from 4 mos. to 7yrs. A handful.

I remember "Back in the day", i could not wait til the first of the month to get my copy of Car Audio & Electronics in the mailbox...from about '92 til '97.

I learned a hell of alot in those mags...my buds freaked on what could be done with about 350 watts, an old Punch Pro 12, a couple cubic feet of MDF and a foot or so of 4" PVC.

I feel like i have found a home here in this forum. There is a wealth of info in these Threads.

I thought i had outgrown the basshead in me..obviously not. I drive a Ford 250..my young wife,who just turned 22 btw, has got her mini-van ( and the girls most of the time).I recently bought a clean assed '93 toyota 4 runner.Soon to be the victim of 15" of Pierce Audio WMD, backed w/ quart coax's fr and rear and about 1600 watts of Power from the Gods at Hifonics ( I just hope they are half what the used to be in the day)...oh, and a bump to Pioneer Premier heads.

Are there still any sound-offs in East Tx/N. La??

Matter of fact - there is a sound-off happening April 2 (this coming Sunday) in Gilliam, LA (just north of Shreveport.....know where Red River Raceway, the newish dragstrip up there is?
