I have an opportunity to buy a used amp - it's an eXcelon (and everyone knows how Prowler loves eXcelon gear...) 2ch unit specs as follows:

12vdc input -

50w X 2 @ 4 Ohms / 100w X 2 @ 2 Ohms / 200w X 1 mono bridged

14.4vdc input -

75w X 2 @ 4 Ohms / 150w X 2 @ 2 Ohms / 300w X 1 mono bridged

I can get this for around $65/shipped but I don't actually have a use for it (yeah - like the other amps currently collecting dust in a closet that I have no use for, right?)

Whether or not I need it notwithstanding - that ouput for that price sound like a good deal or no?

It's only a good deal if you can put it to use. Buying anything on the simple basis of it being a "good deal" negates the good part of it.

yeah i do both work and school full time..this is my one day a week i have neither. For the most part i post ***** while @ work or school..but today is just a freebie. Its supposed to snow a lot today...so fck doesnt look good for building a box.
