If you're splicing wires, it's always a good idea to solder/heat shrink them after splicing.

Moderators are supposed to be assholes, didn't you know? It was in the Terms of Service Agreement when you registered, don't tell me you didn't read the WHOLE thing?!?!

i haven't done any literal splicing, i've used butt connectors for everything so far...
