The saga begins: Jman's 07 Focus build log.

Oh, and here are my sooper ghey Streetwires ZN2.0 RCAs

Yeah, I plan on deadening, I just need the cash. I think I'm going to sell the ZX350.4 and ZX1500.1 to my old roomate and just run with a ZX700.5. Now that I've got those amps, they're just way too much. I need something that will be smaller and less of a strain on my electrical.

Also: Got my RSD's in.

Not cutting the factory wires ftw. I just got a paper clip, cut off two pieces, and wrapped the wire around it and taped it on. Plugs right into the factory harness.
Looks good!!! I'm just wondering does the paper clip effect the SQ at all???

This install blows. You need to be schooled some more, stop posting and start reading.

Nothing noticible. I mean, it's not going to sound amazing... it's a $60 pair of components on factory power at the moment.

How much depth do you think you have for mids? Looks like you have quite a bit to play with.
Didn't really get a good look. The spacers are just a hair too big, though. When the mids get moving, they hit the door panel and buzz. Next time I've got em out I'll see how much depth I have.

Also, does the door panel not block where you put the tweeter?
Yeah, it does. It induces some pretty nasty harmonics, but this is just something to tide me over until I can get some nicer comps. I don't want to cut up my door panel only to find that the tweeter hole is too big //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Decided to go with a 750.1 and a 350.4 instead of the 1500.1. It's just too much, more than I'll ever use. Sold the other amps to my former roomate, and the 350.4 he got was fuxed. (BTW: 92slvr4 is a ***. He hasn't logged in since he sold me the amp.)

I'm also going to hit the speaker holes with a router and countersink the speakers into the rings to stop the rattles from the mids.

Once I get a good set of comps, I suppose I'll go about finding a more permanent mounting solution.
