So, here are my plans for the Focus...

- 12" sub ported or 15" sub sealed, on 1000w or so

- 6.5" comps up front, on about 100w per side

- Double din nav unit

So basically, a pretty simple, to-the-point system. So far, I'm looking at subs like the AA Chaos, SSA Icon, Fi Q, IA Death Row, and the Mach 5 IXL. For components, I'm fixing to install some RSDs on deck power, but will like to upgrade as soon as possible. I'm open to lots of different comps depending on what tickles my fancy when the time comes. As for the nav unit, I'm pretty much set on the Kenwood DNX-5120.

First step:

I just got an 07 ZX4, and the factory speakers are a joke.

mmmmmm BEEFY!

It's a 3/4" MDF spacer that adapts 5"x7" to 6.5" and has a little side-pod for a tweeter. I decided to use some Phoenix Gold RSDs because I had them sitting in the closet, and I'm too broke to get any other new speakers.

All the modification it takes is cutting a little bit of foam to accomodate the tweeter, seen here:

Since the door has a raised portion under where the tweeter goes, I screwed it down and sealed it up as best as I could using non-hardening clay.

Anyways good gas mileage. My zx3 handles very well.
