I did the whole invite thing. But if your not on the internet, then how can they tell what your doing?

The thing is that as soon as the download completes I unshare it. So from the time it finished downloading until I could open the folder and unshare it was when they got me. Whoever caught me should buy themselves a lottery ticket today.

i must've been too entertaining with my other posts and you did not fully read what i said... i'll expand on this a bit.....

if that file had a watermark.... doubtful as this is fairly new but growing fast..... you don't have to share at all.... you simply need to play the file on that computer while it's connected to the internet... it then sends a signal that you've got an illegal copy of that file on your computer.... don't worry about logs and shit anymore my friend these guys are much more advanced than that..... it's not just cookies and logs on the internet anymore.... oh and here's something else to dwell on..... once that watermarked file gets played and they receive your info on your comp and connection they then scan your computer at regular intervals for any illegal files that you may have..... it is debatable whether or not this is legal but that's for the future and the courts to decide....

I'll buy CD's for people I like. But Don't expect me to dish out 15-20 bucks for a movie I'll watch a couple times. What a rip off. Most of the movies I catch in theatres, and I figure hell if they make 200 million in a theatre, they don't need 20 bucks.

well they only listed one song that I shared so I assume that means that they didn't scan my computer. I also don't have that hard drive in this computer anymore.

thats about right. I'd rather watch it for 10 bucks at huge theatre with a kickass soundsystem with friends then watch it on a cheap bargain 27" screen with 2 speakers built-into the tv.

Doesn't mean I wont buy any DVD's. If i love the movie, then I'll get it. But if it's OK...eh.

I don't pay that much for my movies anyway. I always wait till they are on sale. Usually can get the regular DVD's for 14 smacks and the Blu-Rays for under 30 if I am lucky, or the HD-DVD's for a little cheaper.

I only go to the theaters if it is a movie I really, really want to see. So it isn't very often, maybe once a month if that. Movie theaters are fun, but way to pricey.

I just think it is funny, when you go to the movies if you are going yourself, which that would be lame, your looking at, at least 8 bucks for the movie plus drink and popcorn........so about 12 bucks if not more or less depending on size. These are my local theater prices as well, so might be more or less, but I would actually be saving money in the long run buying the movie.

good job..... one suggestion.... if you play any .. ahem... downloaded files on that computer you may want to use a usb thumbdrive...... at least the files are not on the computer itself ...... if you want some free songs to play legally try some of the new sites out now like spiral frog..... they're a pain in the *** to navigate but all free and no hassles... **** now i sound like i'm pitching for this site...... ..... ribbit ribbit.... lol

yeah bigbang my setup blows away anything in any theater i've ever been too..... 42" 1080p tv from 8 feet away compares to the largest screens out there.... and my surround system has the same effects and better sound than the theaters as well..... and i can press pause if i need a beer or take a piss..... and i don't have to kick the shit out of the annoying people making all the noise..... i also buy bluray and the quality is incredible..... if the prices go to what dvd's have been i'm going on a shopping spree.....
