99% of schools do not turn over your data for a first offense, they deal with it internally, hence the paper. The second time they will tell the RIAA who you are plus require more things to get your internet back.

They don't monitor it, they log it, then if they get a request from the RIAA or MPAA they can look up the data.

I have no idea how I was caught. It was being shared for maybe 10 seconds at most.

We get issued laptops from the school that we keep for the year. I was using that in my dorm. That's the evidence.

I'm praying that its just the paper I have to do.
