The Rattler!

I hate the fact that all you people get you shits and giggles off making someone who doesnt know to much about car audio look stupid. He asked to get some help not for you assholes to knock his speaker choice. If your happy with your investment like you say you are more power to you.You can get like 36sq. ft . of xtreme dynamat of ebay for like 120 bucks anytime, that will solve your problem.

I didn't dis anyone. (Well, except for the bank roll dig, but anyone who mentions that they have a fat bank roll deserves one anyway.) I offered info. that came from someone that had band pass boxes before with mid grade equip. and produces music and knows how hard it is to reproduce music like it sounds in the studio....me. Before you comming off saying "...for you assholes..." I suggest you be aware of the people you address it to or just STFU all together.

Yeah man, I mean it was a good deal I guess cause it didnt cost that much but you get what you pay for, and if you want good sound you def. shoulda looked elsewhere from two sony explod 15's in a bandpass....thats just nasty

I am a DJ, so I'd thought I'd put a heavy system in my Tahoe, since I know what sound is all about. Knowing me, I had to have the monster box. So I bought 2 Sony 15" Explode subs and loaded them into a duel 15" subwoofer enclosure kickin about 1000 watts total. As you can imagine, the box is as big as a single DJ P.A. speaker cab.
To make a long story short, I got the S U P E R B O O M chest slammin bass. But the problem is, I have rattles you can hear on the outside of my truck coming from inside the back door and inside of the top corner thru vents. I like the BOOM BOOM, super growl, but have to figure out how to work on the rattles. For now, you can call me "The Rattler".
TURN VOLUME UP SO U CAN'T HEAR IT, LOL

My thoughts exactly. Everyone suggested that higher quality subs would improve sound and a different box configuration.

Personally, Ive seen more than 3 sets of Sony subwoofers explode.

Bill T.

My opinion or any of your opinions were not asked about his speakers. He asked how he could stop his rattles and only a few people gave a reply without making snide remarks about his speakers. It seems "people" are more interested in knocking people than helping. Just look at my questions still no help.....but yet plenty people looked at my questions.

People on here do like to make fun of/diss people that don't know much about car audio. Though this guy is pretty much making a fool of himself just by the way he is talking/typing on here.

So I walked in the joint and snatched them up. As I was saying . . . the duel subwoofer bandpass enclosure WITH THE SONY XBLOWS kick, pound, rumble, and punch . . .
Anyways for the rattle Dynamat is expensive, good prouduct but there are others just as good or better for the same or less money, and seeing as he bought the $99 Sonys he must not be doing that well DJing. Brown Bread, Fat Mat Extream, and Second Skin are all good brands that are just as good or better then Dynamat. You can find them all at Ebay I... $130 for 70sqft of Brown Bread, $90 for 100sqft of Fat Mat, and $50 for 50sqft of Second Skin I think, good luck with the rattles... Mr. "Rattler".

What does stfu mean?
STFU: Shut The F Up

My reply pertained to the comment he made about wanting accurate sound reproduction.

He said:

...but I needed to kick up my system a bit to test out my record companies music productions - and compare it with the top produced songs on the radio - as far as, compression, threshold, and the registering of low frequencies.
True, I did not comment on the rattle problem. I was simply suggesting a different set up that would better suite his needs. If you actually read my comments you would see where I was going with this.

As far as the rattles go, talk to ifandorbuts on here. He has great sound deadening products. You can also try foam padding in between the body panels (Wal-Mart, bedding section).

Having the same problem with my sony explod im running the more powerful 15 cost 149$, 200$ with box and handles up to 1400 watts in a sealed enclosure... thinking of getting another and Im getting dynamat soon i was wondering with our suvs where would be the best places to put the stuff? IM so freaking tired of you guys putting down these subs they are actually really good for the money and has more base than a JL 15 or RF in the same price range... keyword sameprice range Im not really into sq anyways.

To him Bandpass Sounds good. I started with bandpass and it sounded good 'til I stepped up in the audio world.

DCMax22 Get some second skin and put a couple of layers in. Check back latch and windows in rear for rattling. add foam and cloth were neccesary. Check lisences plate and rear bumper too.

Then hang around the site read previous post and get some good advice. U will then be able to buy speakers for a touch more than the Xplods that will put them to shame.

Check Out http://www.respl.com look around on ebay.com and look on this site for names like elemental designs, Adire audio, and so on.

That's ok. These comments are probably coming from little kids surfing the net. I used to be diss-respectful and search forums just to post negative comments that didn't have anything to do with anything, but I grew out of that.
By the way, my magnets weigh 7.6kg (16 lb. 12. oz) each pushing about 1500 watts thru the cab. I never said they were the best. So yall can post all the big speakers you want. I know what time it is. There are all different ranges, sizes and desires people want and buy. If it is good to them, then it is good. It's not up to some childish person to keep saying, mine is bigger, yours are cheap.

Trust me, my box (you seen the picture) pushes a lot of air, and goes low, and thumps the body, good enough for me right now. It compliments my other 9 speakers, including an 8" sub. Let it be said, let it be written.
