URINE TEST

(Whoever wrote this one deserves a HUGE pat on the back!)

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test to show I am clear of drugs, with which I have no problem. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. So here is my Question....

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rump --doing drugs, while I work. . . . Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.

It's the circle of trash. You can penalize these pieces of shit all you want, but they will find a way to exploite the system that was designed to help people who actually need it.

I used to work at a check cashing place, and I never understood why some of the people coming in cashing ssi checks were allowed to get it. They looked fine to me, not saying they all were, but I think ~50% were just playing the system.

lets be honest. a politician would dare touch this because if he did, yes it would be career ******* but someone would manage to bring up race and he would be dubbed a racist. its no secret most people on welfare are blacks. if a politician brough this topic up Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would have a absoloute **** fest on the guy. the liberals would destroy this guys life.

Unfortunately something like doesn't even have a shred of opportunity to ever happen. I'd say maybe we'd see a tiny shot if/when the republicans once again gain majority in Congress, but never with a Democratic majority. You also have to realize if something like this were ever on a candidates political agenda, the lazy ****s on welfare WILL actually get off their *** and vote for the other guy.

if a presidential candidate supported this system. i would vote for him republican or not. and i think many others would cross party lines as well. the problem is, like stated before, that it would turn into a race thing. minorities always like to play the "white man trying to keep me down" line, like its our fault they do drugs and sell drugs and get in gangs, etc.

Maybe Im in the minority here, but its my opinion that so long as their conduct doesnt warrant a urine test, whether or not Joe Blow goes home from work and smokes a joint to unwind from the day shouldnt affect his ability to have/keep his job. If he gets hurt, or causes an injury on the job, that's another story. But really, random testing? Lame. Does the same Joe Blow deserve to lose his job if he goes home and drinks some beer before bed?

Smoking pot is not the problem. If the substance is abused, such as driving under the influence or being stone while at work, that is the problem. Dont agree with the govt taking your rights away just because you dont practice the action in question.

i cant stand that no one can make a suggestion in gvrnmnt (rather fed or local) without someone yelling racist.

I dnt kno if its so in other states but in my state NC the blacks exploit the system HORRIBLE as far as taxes on the property goes. They will go buy $4000 rims and put em on a 60" cutlass or caddy and spend a few g on a paint job, couple g on a system, coupel g on interior and before you kno it they got 60k in a car...but on therer taxes it just shows that they drive a 60's car and little to no taxes is apid on it....and then hey drive to get there SS check cashed...pisses me off.
