in powerbass' defense mounting the amp on the box or close to the sub could cause this.

No they arent in the same league at all.

Some very good subs.

But I have heard of many others having problems with their amps. 97cavy popped some caps right off the board for 2 of the amps, or maybe it was 4. Others I know have had problems.

But likewise, I know some who run it on 18v at .7 strapped and have had no issues.

Also their competitor support is pretty much gone now I think.

Some of our team members were formerly with Team Autosound, who's actual car audio shop "Autosound" primiarly sells powerbass equipment. The #1 reason that Team Autosound no longer exists is because of the sh!tty equipment they were convinced to buy in the first place, and are now stuck with.

Believe me, there is only one team mate that has anything to want to do with powerbass at the moment. And with Powerbass lacking in any actually structured advertising and promotional staff anymore, I doubt there ever will be a Team Powerbass anymore, reguarless of what their particularly annoying website mentions.

I tried a powerbass 3000d in my truck before finals last year.
Not only was it quieter than my 2500d, it also wouldn't run on the fuse like the 2500d did.

how many db louder was the 2500?

I know the XA3000 is 1db louder then an IA20.1 @.5 17 volts

Heh I found the Orion 2500d and the Powerbass to both **** equally....but at least the orion doesnt have parts falling off of it.

Ia20, Massive Audio 400x, Zapco 4kw, Visonik 4000xd, .....very short list after try tying out alot of amps.

you have 1 ok amp 1 good amp and 2 shit amps . Ill still take the XA3000 over 3 of those amps.

^ you sound moronic. Just wondering wich amps you think were ok, good, and shit... The Ia20 is rated for 1800x1@1ohm an it pisses in the XA3000's booty hole

not what i see it didnt. the xa was 1 db louder @ .5 ohms 16 volts

and 2.2 db louder over 2 ia's on 12 volts
