The Official Powerbass XA-3000 sucks thread

Id like to find out just how many other people have had problems with their Powerbass Xa-3000's out there. My team has 5 of them, and I personally own one...and we've sent back 6 of them to powerbass for warranty work. Ive even had parts fall right off the motherboards as shown in the pictures below. Ive also heard of this not being a random thing either, that other powerbass owners are experiencing the same issues. So if you have any picutres you'd like to share of your powerbass misery, post them up. Now on to the pics!

Im basically posting this so that people become aware of this problem before spending their hard earned money on this junk.

And btw, you cannot strap these amps to any impedience below 2 ohms, I dont care what people say...ive done it, not to mention that Powerbass explicitly says their shit isnt capable of it.

i sold powerbass for a while and let me say it was worse than audiobahn as far as bad product went (seriously omg i didnt think it could get worse). we had full line problems. the only things worth even using now are the 2xl or 3xl subs they seem to be taking a beating without issues for us. i stopped selling the amps after basically sending back almost every one we installed.... junk imo and the components blow up with only a little bit of abuse.. turn em up once or twice beyond their limits and their done... again junk imo

and parts falling off is not just common with powerbass anymore ive now seen this from to many of the newer lower end product companies... it seems to becoming a issue with the cheaper products. we had a clif designs here we were testing for a customer benching it.. thing said 150 x 2 did maybe 100 i think it was like 94 to be exact and lasted about a whole half hour before the smoke show started. things are becoming cheaper to produce and sell because they are in fact well..... cheaper...

I tried a powerbass 3000d in my truck before finals last year.

Not only was it quieter than my 2500d, it also wouldn't run on the fuse like the 2500d did.

I ran two powerbass 3000's last night at a USACi event I was at on my 4hp, needless to say I was down 2 db's.....boo powerbass.

and for the record, their 3xl subs are horrible too, we blew about 12 of them so far at our shop.
