Yea my friend has a bmw 2002 540i, its his dads but his dad dosent drive it, but that car is so nice, one thing that makes it look 2 times better is that they found some M5 rims and put them on there, it made the car look so much better, but no telling what they paid for the rims, it has a little M on the rims it looks cool

I just got back from an all day driving school with driving concepts and it was awesome! I really got to push this thing to its limits and find out exactly where they are. It handles amazingly well and the brakes are awesome too. I am still learning the stick, but I am 100x better now.

I reaaaaally need to be careful when I'm in 5th gear though. I was cruising at around 3 or 3.5k doing about 80 when i decided to punch it. Within seconds I was doing 120. I didn't even realize how fast I was going and half scared myself. I am beginning to wonder if I am ever going to find 6th on this thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the 6 series IMO is bimmers best car right now...OTHER than the 8 of course. thing is sooooo sexy, favorite car right now is the six. black on black, on black 20's machined lip

that is one sick ride, i've always been a big fan of 540i 6spds. i always thought they were way too overshadowed by the m5. i had a neighbor who had a dinan'd out 540i 6spd.....to sum it up he'll own any stock m5 that even tried to toy with him.

my friend was driving his dad's 99' for a while.

I miss driving around in that car...... middle of winter, seat heat & feet heat w/ windows/sunroof open & stereo up.

side note: those cars have amazing mids/highs for a stock stereo

The jeep is going up for sale. I have already sold about half of the gear in it, so now its just a pos with nothing in it.

The 5er has the upgraded audio, which is nowhere near as my old obviously, but it is still tolerable. I think I may do some sort of audio upgrades in 6 months or so. first, I want to get angel eyes, led tails, and some suspension work (even though this boat can already outhandle half the sports cars on the road //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ).

speaking of gas, I put $35 in this morning and am now down to only an 1/8 of a tank //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif I did get in about 4 hours of driving today though, but it kinda shocked me. Either way, this thing still gets way better mileage than my i-6 jeep did.

There are sooooo many e46's at my school I wouldn't even want one. Unless you have a heavily modded one you are just going to be another 3 series among many. IMO, the only bimmers sub 50k that can touch my car all around are the e46 m3, and modified e36 m3's. american car companies only survive because of people with adam's attitude, just blinded by reality i tell you. enjoy your pos while i enjoy my stress-free japanese made vehicle. of course you may retort with something that has to do with pearl harbor right?

i would agree that the last two gen m3's are the only ones really comparable to your ride. at the track they'd probably have the edge because of their nimbleness, and not to mention the current m3 is just flat out fast. unless we're talking about some grossly modified 330.. but you gotta tint your windows and drop that shit! dinan tuned suspension haha. is your car sport or non-sport? i heard new differentials do wonders. how many gallons is your tank? mine's 18.5gal but i fill about 16 gallons every time and i dont even get 300 miles per fillup cuz i drive all city. that's like 17mpg, pretty sad. 6spds of my car don't get any better milage either.
