if they could move lugo and coco lol maybe.....but to be honest they have not needed Arod yet..in fact since the deal was shot down (that originally would have sent arod to boston instead of new york) i would say new york suffered the curse of having AROD! lol

I don't know why people think the Cubs are in this. When you are selling a team, you don't add a contract like A-rod's. Unless the Cubs get sold here quick to an owner who wants to spend, I don't see A-rod going to Chicago. The White Sox I don't believe have the money to spend on A-rod. The Cubs dominate the Chicagp market.

Both LA teams can afford him, but Anaheim has never really shown they are willing to dole out the cash. The Dodgers seem more likely then Anaheim.

Also for Boston to acquire Santana, they'll have to give up one of the starters you mentioned. Minnesota is not going to give away Santana.
