Pedro wasn't even the same pitcher before the injury. He is in the downside of his career.Pedro is not a finished product either
he has just come back from surgery...he was pitching while he was injured //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
shall we let 2008 do the talking :0)
Jesus you are so up and down tonight. First you say Verlander has pitched over a 100innings more than 2007 and then you upped it to 200 and now you say SO's don't mean shit. Yet you say you don't look at SO's. Looney!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gifI don't care about wins. That is a team stat. I look at ERA, whip, BAA, SO etc. He has had injuries before and has been up and down. This year he put it together and had a good season.
can you really consider him a "young arm" considering hes probably been pitching since he was ten.....You don't triple his innings the very next season. That is not good for a young arm.
OMG you are so ****ing stupid. I made a typo on the 200 inning thing and fixed. The strikeout thing was a totally different discussion. It was about wear and tear on a pitchers arm. Throwing strikeouts and pitching to contact has the same wear on an arm. In this discussion I was talking about his stats, not the wear on his arm.Jesus you are so up and down tonight. your offense was better than ours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gifWins are a team stat just like you mentioned about Verlander.
Also going back to Verlander, you said he wouldn't have won 18 games without this offense, well the offense wasn't this good last year when he won 17 with worse stats.
so you admit....Perez > VerlanderWins are a team stat just like you mentioned about Verlander.
Also going back to Verlander, you said he wouldn't have won 18 games without this offense, well the offense wasn't this good last year when he won 17 with worse stats.
Dude the major leagues are different then little league. The motion is much more violent and your arm isn't developed. Why are you two arguing against this when it has happened to many pitchers before? Also you don't reach your prime till 25.can you really consider him a "young arm" considering hes probably been pitching since he was ten.....
how old are you? what im getting at is that young athletes are brought up a heck of alot different now than they were 15-20 years ago.... used to if you had a kid on yor little league, high school, etc you pitched the hell out of him till his arm fell off just to get wins....
now even as young as elementary school kids are starting weight training, there are laws limiting kids innings pitched.... the point im trying to make is that athletes today have been getting bred as "athletes" since they were kids where used to you didnt get serious about sports until late high school even into college....
i just think all this worry about innings when were talking about 20-27 yr old guys is pointless. there arms are strong and sports medicine is a million times better than even 10 years ago....on their 5 days of rest between starts these guys are pampered.....they are fine lol
The Mets offense was slightly better last year //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifyour offense was better than ours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
