**The MLB Thread**

I'd still take Verlander. CC hasn't shown he's consistent. If I'm building a team I'll take Verlander over CC, unless CC shows he can consistently put up these numbers.
CC has been pretty consistent. Hell his first year he won 17 games and has over 12 all through out his career with mostly high 3's to low 4's in ERA. Last year it was low as this year. He has been pretty consistent.

Perez - 15-10 3.56 177.0ip 174ks 1.31 WHIP .229 avg 8.85 k/9

Maine - 15-10 3.91 191.0ip 180ks 1.27 WHIP .235 avg 8.48k/9

Verlander - 18-6 3.66 201.2ip 181ks 1.23 WHIP .233 avg 8.17 k/9

Justin is a great pitcher....but I dont think hes better than Pedro...sorry

I don't care about wins. That is a team stat. I look at ERA, whip, BAA, SO etc. He has had injuries before and has been up and down. This year he put it together and had a good season.

Has Pedro even pitched a full season since coming to New York? Pedro is past his prime. In 2008 I'll take Verlander over Pedro. The chances Verlander dominates and wins a Cy Young are greater then Pedro's chances. Hell the odds are against Pedro Pitching a full season.

Who cares. He only pitched 74 innings and it's not good to increase a pitchers innings the next season, especially a pitcher as young as Carmona.
Yeah, it's not good. :crazy:Guy only won 19 games for us and had an amazing ERA. He really isn't a strike out pitcher, but will give ya 130 plus a year. Sometimes you come with the weakiest shit ever. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be were we are now.

so ur saying that if you start a relief pitcher you should stay a relief pitcher your whole career? i mean, im sure fausto didnt start pitching for the first time in his life when he became a pro....hell in high school and summer league he probably pitched a hell of alot more than he does in the majors now.......
