He's gone- they already announced they're not bringing him back.


He jumped his average about 30 points this season, and he's an absolute BEAST in right.

Plus, he's 3 years younger then Curtis...

He still has the same amount of experience as Granderson. Granderson was a 3rd round pick and not highly touted so he took awhile to get to the big leagues. Granderson has made huge strides since coming to the big leagues.

Granderson jumped his average almost 40 points this season. I think people don't realize the power Granderson has. If the Tigers still played in Tiger Stadium, he would've hit 35 homeruns with fewer triples.

I honestly wouldn't want Andruw Jones. He has become one dimensional, and I know I'll take some flack for this, but I don't think he is a good defender.

I honestly wouldn't want Andruw Jones. He has become one dimensional, and I know I'll take some flack for this, but I don't think he is a good defender.

Plus, like I said, he's an absolute monster in right. He's got a cannon, and plays a great RF. I doubt they'll move him to center, but who knows.

I still think he can hit .260 and get 35hr on a decent team, while still playing gold-glove CF.

His defense has slightly declined, but he's still a top CF.

See Andruw Jones is a great athlete in CF. The reason he has to flop around all the time is because he is always out of position, and has to recover. IMO the best defensive CF I have seen in today's game is Vernon Wells. He just has the uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right time. I don't know how many times I saw a ball hit to the gap and thinking it would drop for a sure double, but Wells was there to catch it. He gets great breaks on the ball and positions himself well and is so graceful in CF. To me that is a great CF. Yes Jones will dive around and be on highlight films, but if he played his position as well as Wells, he wouldn't need to be diving around all the time.

I'm concerned about his 212 BA with RISP. Not what I want out of a run producer. Also consider that yes he is only 31, but his body has the wear and tear of a 36 year old, since he been playing since he was 19.

Kenny Rogers is a free agent. We know how the Mets like the oldies. However he said he will only play in Detroit.

Kinda funny how we talk about Rogers and Jones. Wasn't it Andruw Jones that Rogers walked in the 99 NLCS?
