Message: <blockquote data-quote="iceteebone" data-source="post: 3370950" data-attributes="member: 549344"><p>See Andruw Jones is a great athlete in CF.  The reason he has to flop around all the time is because he is always out of position, and has to recover.  IMO the best defensive CF I have seen in today's game is Vernon Wells.  He just has the uncanny ability to be at the right place at the right time.  I don't know how many times I saw a ball hit to the gap and thinking it would drop for a sure double, but Wells was there to catch it.  He gets great breaks on the ball and positions himself well and is so graceful in CF.  To me that is a great CF.  Yes Jones will dive around and be on highlight films, but if he played his position as well as Wells, he wouldn't need to be diving around all the time.</p></blockquote><p></p>
