**The MLB Thread**

Papelbon has given up 5 ER since the end of May.
No earned runs since Aug 1st, which is 14 appearances.
Jason Grilli hasn't given up a run in like 15 innings. It makes me wonder why Leyland used him so much when he was giving up runs.

I wonder what could've been if Rodney and Zumaya stayed healthy.

They played the mighty Royals...what'd you expect? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
After the way the Royals played the Tigers, I expected a win //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

joba chamberlain has no career runs scored on him. heh. even though he has pitched 11 or 12 innings..

arod is still on fire.

The whole yankee offense makes up for our mediocre pitching.

I believe the Royals swept the red sox once this year, and taken 2-3 from them another series..

But the sox have the best record in baseball.

The winner of the AL is going to be Boston or Anaheim. Detroit, New York, and Cleveland will all get pwnd in the first round. I really see New York having the worst shot at advancing. Cleveland can throw CC and Carmona at you, even though Wedge is doing a horrible job managing them two, Detroit can throw Verlander, and possibly Rogers, Bonderman, Jurrjens, and New York has nothing behind Wang. Detroit proved last year that New York can't win on offense.

more any team sees joba the more likely they are to hit him. he was a starting pitcher earlier this season in the minor leagues so he must have tendencies of showing what he is going to throw for him to be used so little

He reminds me of Joel Zumaya. Zumaya is better suited as a reliever because he can just let it all hang out and he only has 2 pitches. Zumaya was a starter, but has found a role as a reliever.

Please explain how the manager of the Cleveland Indians in Eric Wedge is doing a horrible job managing them.(Being they are one of the best 1/2 punch this year.) I am sure it is as retarded a reason as everything else, but humor me.

Then why you explained your rotation is beyond me. You would be extremely lucky to make the post season.

Now Cleveland out of the first round, maybe, maybe not. Anything is possible come playoff time. I think I can recall an 83 win St. Louis Cards beating the snot out of the Tigers last year. Humm amazing concept!
