**The MLB Thread**

Bo Sox might take it all this year, but I am starting to see the Mets fizzle out. I really am pushing for the Padres to go this year. Would be sweet to see Cleveland against SD.

With that said I think Boston will still go, but Cleveland is the hottest team in baseball and look dam good............dam good!

^ The Mets got more sizzle than fizzle. Sweeping the Braves in ATL is big. Delgado and Beltran and Lo Duca waking up is huge.

The Sox lost Manny. The Padres have 2 aces and no offense.

Cleveland is good but we would rather see them than Detroit.

The Mets haven't really been all that steller since the break. Hell I remember them being like 5 games better than Cleveland not 3 weeks or so ago and now Cleveland is 3 games better, lol!

With that said, Cleveland is the hottest team in baseball and don't look to be stopping.

Detriot don't have much of a chance with the division. They should focus on the Wild card, but thet will still be hard to take that. The Yankees or Mariners will take that. Although the Mariners have sucked major balls as of late.

Sox might have lost Manny, but still have one of the best offenses in the game with Ortiz, Lowell, Youkillis, Pedoria. Then they also have the best staff in the AL in Dice-K, Beckett, Wakefield and Schilling not to mention their bullpen is something else.

Padres have never really had an offense and they have been doing better over the years because of their pitching. Young, Peavy and Maddux are all doing their thing and that up and comer Germano they have high hopes for. They need a solid #5 guy though. Also their bullpen is pretty strong as well with Cameron, Hoffman slew of others. With their bats picking up lately, they will more than likely win the divison and be a huge threat in the playoffs.

the Mets are cruising right now the whole point is you want your team to peak come playoffs and it seems Cleveland is peaking a little too early..

the Yankees big worry is LA. Cleveland is much less of a challenge and the Yanks handle Sox pitchers very well.

San Diego has 2 aces but they better throw complete games because Hoffman always pisses away anything in a big spot.

New York Yankees batted .309, .340, .357, .286 against Beckett, Schilling, Wakefield, and Matsuzaka respectively at Fenway.

pretty much the definition of being handled no?

Chamberlain and Kennedy will make sure the Sox dont win for years. Hughes basically put the nail in the Mariners coffin yesterday

Granderson is having an excellent year. 297 average, 353 OBP, slugging 550, 903 OPS, and is 1 stolen base shy of becoming the first player to have a quadruple 20 season since Willie Mays (20 2B, 20 3B, 20 HR, 20 SB) and he plays gold glove caliber defense to boot, and he also has over 100 runs scored, and to think Carl Crawford was suppose to be better then Granderson ever would be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

So 2 starts from Kennedy= Sox never winning anything? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

The Yankees rotation is in shambles...Clemens has been mediocre when healthy, Mussina has been laughable, Hughes has gotten roughed up several times this season thus far, and Kennedy has 2 starts thus far.

Apparently Ian Kennedy and Joba Chamberlin are better then Beckett and Papelbon.
