tigers swept boston and should've swept cleveland. with all the tigers injuries, i can't believe they are within a half a game of boston for the best record in baseball

i agree

now that the tigers are finally getting healthy, i can see them start to pull away from the division. if zumya and rodney can come back and be themselves then they can take the division.

Yep. The only chink in the armor I see this year is the starting pitching isn't as dominant as it was last year. But the hitting is doing better than last year so I guess that balances it out. Don't get me wrong I still think they have one of the best starting rotations in MLB and I think they're good enough to win a title.

The Braves are only a couple games out with minmal MLB experience and not a lot of so called "all-stars". Even with Andruw Jones batting right around the Mendoza line and Brian McCann not delivering like he did last year we have still found ways to win. The poor mets will have to settle with a 1 year Division Champion streak, haha.

Thing is Cleveland has had a lot of injuries as well with Westbrook, Lee, Marte out a long time. That is two of their better starters and are just now starting to get back on track, kinda. Lee really needs to be sent down cause he is just to up and down. Westbrook has looked good since coming back.

Now we have Delluccii who platoons in Left field who is hurt and granted he isnt the best for average, but gets a lot of big hits and we will miss him the rest of the year. Also Fultz is out for a while longer and he is one of the best relievers this year. So he will deffintley be missed.

So we have had our injuries and have been right there with you guys batteling.

I love the fact that you believe you can pull away from the division when our team ERA is right there with you and our offense is one of the better ones in the league.

tigers have been without rogers, robertson, zumya, and rodney for an extended amount of time. i hate to say it, but that quartet is better then jake westbrook and cliff lee. also bonderman missed a couple starts, guillen missed a few games, inge missed a few games, and miner missed some time.

the tigers bullpen has been awful. bonderman and verlander have been great, rogers has been excellent since returning, miller has been good, so the tigers rotation is pretty good, its the bullpen inflating the ERA. they picked up cappellan who looks decent.

cleveland has a good offense, but detroit's is about 50 runs higher and detroit is scoring runs at a near historic pace, and detroit's run differential of over 100 runs is best in the league. had the bullpen not blown so many games, the tigers could have 60 wins.
