i could take a shit and wrap it in a baseball unifrom and they will sign it. the cubs are signing everyone. why aren't they making a pitch for zito? i mean jason marquis, 3 years 21 million? he had a 6.02 era. they have pitchers in their farm system better then marquis

detroit's staff is still better, and i recall zito giving up what, 5 earned runs in the shortest outing of the season in the playoffs last year. i wonder who that team was that beat him so badly in the playoffs, in his own stadium.....

rogers, verlander, bonderman, robertson make a pretty tough rotation. add the fact that they only need five innigs from each and can go with mesa, rodney, zumya, jones, and have ledezma to come out of the pen and face delgado and turn around beltran
