chicago hasn't pitched well in the second half hence the inflated era's so your argument puzzles me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
Garland and Contreras have been pitching solid. As for Garcia and Vasquez, they have pitched very well up until the 6th and 7th innings, then they usually get lit up. So you know what. You make an adjustment, you let them go 6 innings and then bring in your bullpen in the playoffs.

chicago's bullpen has been less then stellar

Kinda sad to see Chase Utley not go any further in chasing the hitting streak, but still was a heck of a run. I really like that kid. I dont see him as a Joe DiMaggio, but he is one hell of a all around player. One of my favorites. Now if he just wasnt on the Phillies. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Also LMAO at phat trying to compare era and wins. Hell a win is a win, correct phat? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Hey Icetea, do you really think they needed Sean Casey's bat in the lineup? I know he is a lefty, but really he is having an off year compared to other years. He gets hurt hella lot and to be honest with you Chris Shelton was producing more than him. Then to top it all off, they dont just bench him they send him down to the Minors. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Kid was having a pretty good year. Kinda baffles me a little. I know Casey is a pretty good fist baseman, but really his offenese isnt anything to woot about. Any insight on that?

and they pull it off!

and I wouuld agree that the White Sox bullpen has been far from stellar... all 2 DECENT relievers. and im not a big fan of cotts....but ozzie seems to love him.

daaaaaaaaaaaaamn... the game saving play by David Wright!!

fucckin yeah!

Mets win!

Hey look, Randolph put in Endy Chavez and he go tthe game winning hit!!

wow...where the fucck was your head at teh past 2 games??!!

and Wagner...again...allows two hits in the 9th. Lucky for him Wright saved his *** with a brilliant play (2nd time this year)

I remember him having only two 1-2-3 innings this year!!!

FTL!

I'll give my best answer if you don't mind.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Chris Shelton's confidence is shot to hell. He was second on the team in strikeouts. Sure, he was producing a little but no where near what he is capable of. He had all those homers in April and only 6 homers since then. Casey is a veteran and plays a better defensive 1st base then Shelton. Shelton will most definitely be back. Leyland made it very clear when he sent him down that Shelton is the future everyday 1st baseman of the Tigers. He just needs to work on a few things down in Toledo. When they expand their roster to a playoff roster he may come back up then, who knows.

Just last night Casey paid dividends with a 2 run double to right center. It started the big comeback to beat the Indians last night.
