my bad, still starters usually have 5 days of rest. I thought RJ and Schilling were going on 3 days in that 2001 Championship run.

That's a lot of if's. Baseball isn't the same as basketball. Any team can win on any given day, as your Tigers found out by splitting a 4 game series with the Devil Rays.

I guarantee if you look it up in any sport, the team with the worst record in a matchup wins a larger % of games in baseball, than in any other sport. Especially when you compare teams with the best record to teams with the league's worst record.

they didn't have pitching, and i think anaheim had the better record so you can't say they were upset

they had the same record, but the yankees team had better hitters, and neither team really had a great pitching staff.
