**The MLB Thread**

Texas beat up on Minnesota again. Liriano was supposed to start, but instead he'll be going Monday against the Tigers. Lol.

shows you how much respect minnesota has for detroit. they re-arranged their rotation to have their best 3 pitchers going against detroit. if it wasn't for a fluke 8th inning, detroit would've swept the series.

Jesus Cleveland is the gayiest team ever! I hate them anymore. Why in the world would you get rid of Ronnie Belliard? He is a gap hitter, hits for some power, very solid 2nd baseman and has a lot of energy. Worst trade by them in a while. I thought the Brossard trade was retareded, but this one takes the cake. Unbelievable.

the broussard trade was a good trade. the belliard trade is a little sketchy. he is 32 iirc

Broussard was having a career year and Belliard was on his way to having a better year or similar year to last which was pretty dam good. I think they are both bad trades in my mind. I mean Choo isnt going to do shit anytime soon. Luna is decent but I would never have traded him away to get Luna. Dont make sense and 32 isnt that old for a baseball player. Belliard is in his prime.

that's exactly why you trade broussard. who would you rather have, martinez or broussard?

Actually Martinez is still catching while Casey Blake has been playing some first base. Seems like they are going with Shoppach on righties and then Playing Martinez since he is a switch hitter then playing Martinez catching against lefties and playing Blake at first.

Oh and as far as first base goes I would rather have Broussard, however Broussard has made some errors, but it will take some time for Martinez to surprise me how good he can be at first.

they had to get martinez to first so that means broussard could go. he was like a career 275 hitter, having a career year. imo the tigers should've traded thames but they are in a pennant race

Nobody is worried about Detroit. I seriously doubt they made up the elbow problem. A win is a win, and they know they aren't going to catch Detroit, so why risk losing a game against a more beatable Texas team? Your theory is full of shit. And again, if and buts are just that. So I don't want to hear if it wasn't for blah blah blah. It is what it is.
