i actually hope chicago makes the playoffs. if new york jumps in the tigers would have to play new york.

ok...assuming everything was as it was BEFORE allstar break....who would you guys play first round in the playoffs?

and again... BEFORE allstar break...id still take Contreras> Santana... because of this season...and especially last season. but the whole f-ing team fell apart now

Doesn't matter to me, b/c you see, my team won the championship last year. What did your team do last year and the year before that and the year before that? Lose 90+ games. So ultimately you can rag on me for whatever, but the Tigers won't be winning the World Series so they'll be sitting at home watching as well.

well a playoff appearance would be fine by me. why are you so sure the tigers can't make it to the world series? the white sox hadn't won a title since 1917 nor made the world series since 1959, but yet won it last year so quit being so smug and hoping the tigers fall off. i want the white sox to win the wild card. that means detroit will play oakland, wich they can handle, and they have a chance to beat boston or new york in the alcs.

snb understands his team is trouble but phat is to cocky to realize it. keep hoping the tigers fall apart. if the tigers go 32-29 they win 100 games. only 3 games above 500. chicago won't win 100 games nor will minnesota.

Best Record plays wild card, unless wild card is in same division. If Wild card is in same division, they play the Division winner with the worst record.

best record in baseball plays team with worst record in playoffs, but the wild card winner does not play their division winner, so if boston wins the division and new york wins the wild card, that means they can't play each other, so detroit plays the new york since they have a worse record and boston plays oakland

i would much rather face chicago in the playoffs then minnesota. also if chicago wins the wild card detroit gets oakland in the first round.

detroit was 3-1 against miami but got it handed to them in the post season. like you said earlier, detroit was in every game against chicago. except for the 7-1 loss, detroit had a chance to win each game. also the series they got swept was the third series of the season and they are a better team now.

In case you've never watched a playoff game, most teams are in the game in the playoffs. A lot of the White Sox wins came by 1,2, or 3 runs.

i'd worry more about chicago making the playoffs then wether or not they will beat detroit in the playoffs, and then if they do, they have to beat boston or new york before they would face detroit.
