Soriano will be unlikely as well. Why you ask?
1) There are several teams inquiring about him.

2) That gives the Nationals the upper hand.

3) A few of the teams have more to offer the Nationals

4) I don't think Detroit is willing to give up that much talent for one season.

there are only 2 serious contenders. detroit and seattle. detroit hasn't made the playoffs since 87. this city hasn't had a winning team since 93, so it's safe to say detroit wants to win now. they have lots of players they can offer in a trade. they can send humberto sanchez, zach miner, omar infante and another prospect.

if chicago can't make it past boston or new york they won't be in the playoffs either. i can't believe you are still sitting here trying to tell me that vazquez pitched as good as bonderman. i gave chicago credit cause bonderman was on his game. every pitchers makes mistakes during a course of a game. bonderman made very few and to chicago's credit, they made detroit pay

I never said Vasquez pitched better than Bonderman. And really who gives a shit who pitched better? I've seen pitchers pitch better and still lose the game. Didn't you see where I said Bonderman is your #2, Vasquez is our #4? That would generally imply that he is supposed to be a better pitcher. Vasquez is not one of our better starters. Regardless of what you say, nothing matters until the playoffs. The White Sox had no problem making is past Boston last year. In fact, they swept there candy *****. You name a team that posted a better record than Chicago in the playoffs? 12-1 iirc

I've heard of more teams than that. I think I even remember the Mets being thrown in the mix. I know of the Dodgers for sure. Can't remember the others. You really have no idea what the Nationals want, so you can't put a package together cuz that may not be what they are looking for. 1) they want pitching 2) they are going to need a bat or two to replace Soriano. Also, remember the Yanks and Red Sox being in the mix. And just for your amusement, I'm in the 2007 season on MLB 2k6, and the Red Sox have Soriano. They also have Frank Thomas and a couple other big bats.

Funny you mention that, b/c you tiger fans better hold them dear to y our hearts, b/c analysts are predicting that the pistons aren't even going to be a .500 ball club next year.

lmao where do you get your info? just because ben wallace leaves? he was good but not that good. mohammod will do fine plus they added flip murray, but that is basketball not baseball

Exactly... He WAS pitching a great game until the 7th...And take away that grand slam...because I... AND YOUUUU should put that on our pitching...you guys didnt play all that great either. BOTH teams pitched pretty good...but Offensively we had a horrible game.

And I just cant say its your pitching...Even though...Bonerman is a great pitcher (haha) but I have seen the sox tear apart pretty much every great pitcher in baseball right now...they have offensive potential just as good as any other team out there.

just sayin....we HIT like caaaaarap!

still don't give credit to the pitching? some of the hitters were totally baffled by bonderman. you can tell by the swings they took. most teams tip their cap to the opponent and prepare for the next game.

i recall last year boston was the world champs and the shit and there was this little upstart team from chicago, who came out of nowhere and won a title. not saying detroit is that team, but you gotta respect what detroit is doing cause they are over 90 games into the season and on pace for 109 wins
