It looks like some of the Met players are now getting fed up with Wiilie's bad managing.
This is from today's NY Daily News.
southpaw Pedro Feliciano openly questioned his manager's bullpen usage. Feliciano's major gripe: pinch-hitting for long-reliever Darren Oliver after using him for just 1-1/3 innings last night. Oliver had been unused the previous night at Yankee Stadium, originally to preserve him as the probable starter for last night's game, before the Mets decided to use John Maine. Feliciano ended up pitching multiple innings on back-to-back nights.
"He's a long reliever. Going 1-2/3 (actually 1-1/3) is not his job," Feliciano said about Oliver. "He has to go at least four or three. The bullpen's going to tire. Let him go out at least four or three. One and a third? Stupid. They tell me, 'Go one more because we need help in the bullpen.' I pitched two innings (Sunday). I don't know why they pinch-hit for (Oliver). Somebody mixed up."
