ya know what really pisses me off. All of these (you guys) who bich about Ozzie being this bad guy, whos wild and out of control...then come the most prestigious game in baseball...and who is managing the team.. OZZIE GUILLEN...holy cow who would have thunk it...DUH.... All these people have to shut up already....friggin HIPOCRITZ!!!

i don't know if this has been covered, but i think that balking has got to be the most ridiculous rule of all sports. here is a pretty humorous article on it if you feel like a good read....

Haffner and Liriano. Liriano is 9-1 with a 1.99 ERA. 95 K's. Haffner is batting 24 pts lower than Pierzynski but has 17 more Hrs and more RBI's.

well than Liriano is completely pointless to mention since he is obviously a pitcher. If talkin about pitchers you gotta put Schilling and Contreras up there to. 9-1 and 10-2

edit...and just witnessed why we dont throw to 2nd when there is a man on third.

Haffner plays for Cleveland and for whatever reason, Ozzie chose not to include Schilling. Maybe Schilling didn't want to take part. It's possible he is scheduled to pitch Sunday, that would mean he wouldn't be able to pitch in the All Star game (Tuesday).

But it's not, because there are 5 guys the fans can choose from. Pierzynski is probably the 3rd best candidate from the list. He's not the best choice.

well he plays for cleveland...thats why...they ****.

But if the sox pitching all pitch well in the playoffs, they could pull off another WS...But garland has been gettin hit this year.. Garcia (who is pitching now) *****, i really dont like him. he has like 2 K's in his last 2 outings!!!

Pierzynski...doesnt have the best stats. I dont know how he doesnt have more RBI's than he does...I really dont... hes batting like .32_? He is having a great year though...What other catchers are above him in the ballots?

I thought it was the voting that chooses whos on the team and who's not...right??

Their added hitting makes up for the little decrease in pitching though. And that we have shown over and over. Esp. in clutch situations.

That's enough to get you by during hte season. But when the playoffs start, you are facing 2 or 3 solid starters and when you are down 4 or 5 runs, you won't be making a comeback.

a pitcher is a pitcher...if they got rocked during regular season, they can get rocked in any game... Ex. How we rocked Zambrano yesterday...even though we lost. If a team gets a few hits, and starts to rally...anything could happen. We are a huuuge rally team.

But yea, 4-5 runs in the playoffs against a great starter isnt likely to comeback.
