**The MLB Thread**

Ever heard of a 1- 2 punch?? Also, how many Cubs games did you watch this past year to know he has poor instincts?? Seriously, how many?? If I were a betting man which I'm not I would say you're talking out of your *** once again.
didn't watch any cubs games but i watched the 2003 NLCS and 2003 world series and if he improved dramtically in 3 years i appologize

defense aside, who still isn't that great of a hitter. he's a better defensive alex sanchez. granderson led the league in strikeouts, and still had a better obp and more runs scored //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

taking a risk on sheffield seems a lot better.
You know I like the Tigers, and personally I've always liked Sheffield. He earned alot of respect from me in his last year with the Dodgers. He made it public that he wanted out of LA. However, he did not just lay down that final year there. He still played very well even though he knew he was on his way out. To me he is a professional and he has my respect.

Oh and BTW, he still has the fastest bat speed in MLB.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Played good enough to win a championship did he not???
florida won it because of jaun pierre //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/hilarious.gif.02a037aad04aa96f19982b298a3d70a8.gif not because of josh beckett pitching an amazing post season, or pudge coming up with the huge play at home against the giants, or steve bartman interferes with a foul ball, or alex gonzalez booting a ball. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Let's just see how the season plays out. He'll play all year and we'll see how many games Sheffield plays.

No use in arguing Adam. He is right and you are wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Must have me blocked, lollerskates!
i try to ignore your stupidity as much as possible. lets recap, how many gold gloves and all-star games does polanco and crawford have?

if you look at sheffield's injury, it was a collision injury. his body didn't break down. he ran into someone and injured his wrist. could've happened to a lot of players. remember the tigers are acustomed to this, pudge, magglio etc.

he wasn't the sole reason they won.
When did I EVER say that. Look boner, all I've been trying to say is that the Dodgers made a good pickup getting him. Whether you or anyone else thinks so is irrelevant. I hope NOTHING but the best for the Tigers and Gary Sheffield. But I also think Pierre will help the Dodgers.
