Game 2 tonight @ 7 on ESPN. White Sox vs Tigers......I have to work till 8 unfortunately, hopefully the White Sox will have built up a nice lead by the time I get home.

i read the tigers and phillies have a deal for abreu, sending thames and miner to philadelphia for abreu. from what i've read the tigers haven't pulled the trigger on the deal yet. the tigers also have the money to pick up abreu's option

well tigers have maroth who will replace miner and they have a young staff. i see zumya being a starter in the future so miner is expendable. thames is having a career year so his trade value is at an all-time high. thames is not the greatest defender and he is basically a dead pull hitter. abreu uses the whole field, gets on base, steals bases so he is more versatile them thames. kinda worried about his power though. only 8 home runs but he does have 60 rbi's

I think if Abreu goes to Detriot then they are bound for a trip to the WS! Hell I think they could have done it with out Abreu, but man that guys has a shit ton of talent. I know his homeruns are down this year, but he will come around and he does so many other things. Would be an impressive pick up for Detriot if they go that route.

he fits comerica park nicely. he hits to all fields and is a doubles hitter which favors comerica park. plus he is a good base runner wich the tigers need at the top of their lineup. he'd fit nicely in that 3 hole ahead of magglio.

Yes I agree. I have to admit I like how Detriot has played this year and how they are going about doing trades if they do go that route. They have impressed me very much this year to the point I am rooting for them. Call me a bandwagon bitc h or whatever, but my team sucks and I have been an A's fan for years, but Detriot is fun to watch. Least gives me something to watch in the summer. Only thing is I dont get to see them much unless there playing Cleveland or on espn. Well anyway, I hope they pick him up.

just read a new rumor that soriano is gonna be a tiger. kinda an interesting move. the tigers do lack a bat behind magglio. guillen is a great hitter but he is a 2 or 3 hitter not a number 5 hitter. from what i read seattle and detroit are the front runners

Humm, interesting for sure. I still think I would rather have Abreu over Soriano, but that is just me. I think he adds more to a line up and would be a better club house person. Sometimes I wonder why Soriano gets traded so much. Maybe you could enlighten me about that. I dont know, he is a hell of a ball player, but there is something I cant stand about him.
