Ok, ive had multiple requests to post pics of the marble box I built that was doing 155+ in a street class vehicle. They are a bit random but maybe you can get the feel of how it was built.
Basic materials, 1.5" thick marble slab shipped in from Finland and cut angles for the corner fill.
Now I used Liquid Nails for marble (yes they do make it) and attached it to the wood frame.
Next I alumnium foiled the marble so it wouldn't get any fiberglass resin on it.
Now I make the foundation of the tapered port. I used wood dowels to form the structure.
Maybe now you can see where i'm going with this
Now I lay down the fiberglass mat
