ok, i pretty much know what everyone will say on this, but i thought'd i'd put it out there for sh i ts and giggles, heres my choices

2 2005 12" type Rs

or 2 2005 kicker comp vr 15"

aproximately 550 watts to each speaker (that's 1100 rms for those of you that struggle in the math department) both will be vented tuned to somwhere between 32-35h.

now here comes the token ignorant question: in all honesty which do you think will be louder? and dont just say type r's to be cool like everyone else.

ive heard L7s get louder at first then i heard type r's do...but i would get a type r instead, ive never heard one, but i would think it would sound better and get lower...

He's talking about comp vr's. The L7's should demolish the type r's, but that's not what he's asking.

amen. im only a few hundred dollars short of getting l7's haha.
If you just want loud, go with the vr's. I had a couple in my mustang and loved them. But if you want more sq I'd go with the R's. Either way you'll probably be happy.

VR's ported properly will get rediculously loud.....but you can say that for the type r also.....for spl id go VR's but it would be a hard decision if i were u.....think it through.
