So the cones on my subs get warm after I play them for aawhile is that normal? Or is my gain turned up too much? Voltage maybe? I have 3 12" on a 2000 watt monoblock

Warm is no problem. Hot is a problem and stinky coils is a problem. What kind of 12s do you have on 2kW and what kind of electrical do you have to support 2kW?

So what can I do about it? My voltage on my capacitor stays between 13.5 and 14. What exactly is clipping?

It would most likely help to drop the capacitor and get an extra battery for the back.What kind of amp and subs do you have?

Actually I have 3 different 12s, an infinity, and L3, and a sundown audio. I notice some kinda smell too not overwhelming but its there. And what do you mean what kind of electrical? I'm newer to this stuff but I am learning a great deal

Okay so now its just the sundown audio wired on the 2000 watt I have 2 more amps. So I should run each sub off of a different amp to suit the woofers needs? I just don't want to ruin my system I've wrapped quite a bit of money into this and would really like to learn about all this stuff..

What model of Sundown sub/size do you have, and what 2000 watt amp/model,and brand do you have????????????????

Its a vvme inno-d1500 monoblock and I belive its a 12" sa12 sundown audio

sell the other two subwoofers and get a matching sundown, put both of them in a proper custom ported box, learn how to set your gains correctly and get rid of the **** capacitor! thats whats called a parasitic leech in the car audio world. Replace that capacitor with a 2nd battery in the trunk instead.

Different subs play differently when you mix and match brands and models, your going to have the sh!ttiest sounding bass.

Yes its a big no no. Along with capacitors they are big no nos too.

Is your current sundown a D4 or D2?
