Well now your thinking is in the right direction. Now it is time to realize that the war was not about the Iraqi people, it wasnt about terrorism. It is for the financial and other perverse gains of the USA and a few select individuals who ARENT fighting on the ground. The entire world now frowns upon the actions of the USA, no one admires America anymore.

ok A) true... it's not just a response to terrorism... then again it's not just to pump all of iraqs oil and leave... if a stable secular democracy is formed in the middle east it will really help our long term energy security... it's a win - win for us and the iraqis... but that's still being worked on
B) Bullshit.... cheap and reliable energy in huge quantities is in the best interest of not only all americans but the world....
C) This is not true... we still have supporters and admirerers... but in any case it's no wonder 1/2 of europe hates us... many of them had cut deals with saddam and were providing support to him for oil... so it pissed them off when we came and muddled up their energy security... then you have another chunk of the world that is muslim who is pissed just for that fact alone and then you have those who hate us because we are at the top and they need someone to hate.... but I'm not going to live my life according to some worldwide ****ing popularity contest... I left that shit behind in high school... so basically go **** yourself..

I'd disagree, the bush family has HUGE interests in oil period. Reliable energy is not oil, yet bush will continue in that direction which he has interests in. We should have been on ethanol etc a long time ago

It isnt because they dont want Iraq to be free, its because they HATE you and this is the perfect opportunity for revenge. They are chewing your forces up in Iraq each and every day. that is true but as of right now there is no reasonable wholesale replacement for oil. ethonal is a reasonable additive but we need more flex fuel vehicles and a MUCH larger ethonal capacity to do that.... this doesn't mean we should be desperately searching for an alternative.... also there is alot more petrol products than gasoline... only half of every barrel of oil goes to gasoline
The war in Iraq wasn't for WMDs and oil. It's a war ment to shift global politics, standards, our way of living, change peoples religion (like that will work), etc. We needed a foot hole of our own in the Middle East, aside from Israel. The terrorism hunt is just an excuse to fund the propoganda/war machine.
It's hard to explain all this... There problems become our problems, like Americans really care about those people. We've got our own problems, never mind Iraq (pre-war), Iran, Syria, North Korea. Now it seems, more than ever, every little danger over there, effects us over here. "Terrorism" gives the government nearly unlimited funding for their toys, dont agree? We will get attacked. Was the war in Iraq needed? Yes, otherwise we would've got attacked. Everything we dont agree on, they can say terrorism, and these American citizens who are drones just follow. Imagine how we could all live if all our money spent in foreign countrys was spent here. Hospitals, schools, communities, alternative fuel sources, aid for the poor. It will never happen, because then politicians loose strength, military looses huge amounts of funding, and we loose our "parenting" role across the globe. Washington prefers $ over paradise, sadly, we're along for the ride. The best we can do is vote, and live our lives the best we can.

first of all aren't you from hawaii... I suppose that doesn't make you an american but in anycase it's no suprise that there is an insurgency... it's part of any war where you conquer another nation while there is still the will to fight for whatever reason and since we toppled the government in a matter of weeks it leaves the will to fight... besides after nam the world learned a lesson... the american people cannot deal with a sustained war effort because we lose interest so quickly and there are so many pacifist or just plain too many whiny americans... it also doesn't help there is no concerted propaganda campaign like there was back in the day... ohh and 1-5 soldiers a day is hardly "chewing up our forces"... the terrorists/insurgents have moved on to bombing woman and children, along with the occasional mousque....
