Depends on the amp topology we're talking about and the frequencies the measurement was taken at.

0.8% THD at 10KHz is a lot different than at 50Hz.

Lets say, a class D amp. Low freq.

Hell, 120hz to ehh 50hz. From those notes, almost a sweep, I'm guessing.

In all likelihood, you'll have a hard time hearing it...

Ok, I was just wondering because my sub amp puts out .03%. I just thought .80% would be a noticable audible difference.

Nope.

The "realm of audibility" of THD is a rather debated topic. And, frankly, your speakers/subwoofers are going to have much more distortion than any amplifier kept within it's linear limits. But, moral of the story......amplifier distortion is the least of your concerns. Unless you are driving the amplifier into heavy clipping, don't even concern yourself with it.

Regardless, the loudspeaker is always going to be the weakest link for distortion...

Blanket statements are very hard to make in these situations. Too many variables.
