I don't know what this is, but in the context that I have seen it I am sure it has something to do with the police. I have seen it as a sticker on cars as well....

My guess was that it was some kind of heads up to let cops know you are family or friend of a cop or in some way tied in. I thought at first it might have only been if you ARE a cop, but then I started noticing them on soccer mom's SUVs and old ladys.

Anyone know for sure? Also this might be a MA thing, no idea.

Ya I've never seen it. I've seen the Firefighter ones tho. Has a little picture of a firefighter in the forest or something next to the Letters/Numbers.

Thats what it is.

I remember at one point there were trying to ban them here in NY. It just means that your family of a cop, local cops usually wont write tickets to others cops family members.

The are for cops, and their immediate family.

The black ones with the blue bar mean officer, or immediate family.

the black with blue bars, and an "A" in the blue bar mean it is a cop, or immediate family, and there is a firearm on the driver, or somewhere in the vehicle.

yeah it either a sticker or a license plate for police officers and there families. I have one on my car. Basically its gets you out of getting a ticket when pulled over. When they pull you over they just tell you to slow it down or whatever thats it, Its a life saver but also kinda unfair but oh well.
