Thanks, Fed Ex

This is why I don't trust crates. One good drop and the entire thing can collapse.
I just picked up a pair of 9510's that were shipped extremely well. After seeing the way he packaged these, I'm never going to use a crate. These subs could have been dropped off a building and they would have been fine.

This is the way to package heavy subs:

Took me 15 minutes to cut each sub out of the box. No chance in hell they were getting damaged.
Is that exlanding foam??

better make sure there's no tear in the plastic, lulz

Yes it is. Those things couldn't move a millimeter in any direction.

Not to mention that the foam adhered to the cardboard, so it was impossible for the cardboard to rip or get smashed as well.

They were double-bagged, so it's all good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

^ thats a good idea and I have thought about doing that with amplifiers as well.

First time I have seen that in action on a shipping parcel, Kinda reminds me of Demolition Man when Sly wrecks on of those futuristic cop cars and the car fills up with some sort of foam keepin the driver safe.

I did that to a battery once that i shipped

gotta be careful doing that cause expanding foam expands more over time and heat. make sure one to use over the cone/surrond.

what works good is expanding foam in a plastic bag....
