Thank you, FedEx, you sexy beast you.

how will this perform in a 1 cu ft?
Probably not so well, seeing as TCSounds' Recommended Enclosure Size is:

Small Sealed: 0.3 cubic feet

Large Sealed: 0.6 cubic feet

im gonna do some formula-plugging-in and see how 1.0 cubes looks for them...

EDIT:

Crunched some numbers... and got this:

for a 1 cubic foot sealed box:

Qtc - 0.4629

Fc - 38.9hz

F3 - 67.39hz

for a .5 cubic foot sealed box:

Qtc - 0.5488

Fc - 46.12hz

F3 - 62.87hz

for a .3 cubic foot sealed box:

Qtc - 0.6458

Fc - 54.27hz

F3 - 59.9hz

Where Qtc = Total Resonance, Fc = Resonant Frequency, and F3 is -3db from the reference level.

any recomendations on enclosures other than mentioned?
the recommended sealed is like a half cube? anyone want to vouch for this speaking on experience?
TC's recommended enc. specs listed above.

.5 cubes net sounds about right for these

And for anyone else who needs them...

The 12 (now out of stock) was so popular we decided to run a 10" This one is slightly different than the 12. It uses the TC-2000 voice coil, and a TC9 motor, and incorporates a tall surround, wide spider (of course), and special light weight composite fiber honey comb core cone (very rare). These drivers are new!

NOTE: Actual drivers have BLACK frames (not silver)

OEM overstock TC-10.

Lightweight Honeycomb glass fiber cone

1" tall NBR surround

28mm xmax

190 ounce motor

800 watts RMS

3" wide, long-wind AL voice coil

Dual 8.5" spiders with woven leads

Single 4 ohm DCR or Dual 4 ohm DCR

Actual weight: 29.5 pounds

TSP's

Qts 0.357

Qes 0.400

Qms 3.35

Fs 30Hz

Res 3.11 ohms

Ls 4.0 mH

Lp 6.26 mH

Rp 9.9 ohms

Dia 208mm

Vas 19.3 liters

Mms 224 grams

Cms 119 um/N

BL 18.35Tm

Spl 83.3dB

Recommended Alignments:

Small Sealed: 0.3 cubic feet

Large Sealed 0.6 cubic feet

Ported:

0.5-0.6 cubic feet with a single 10" or 12" PR

(don't try and port this any other way, it just wont work right unless you want peaky SPL bass.)

Thanks for the specs. I had seen them and such but IIRC many (again, IIRC) subs prefer enclosures or are known to be good/bad in enclosures that often are unmentioned by the manufacturer.

Thanks though. I made about a 1 cube ported enclosure tuned to 32. So i'll see how that does. Worst case scenario i'll make .5 cube net sealed and end the shinnanigans.

Let me know how it goes for u, I would love to hear about a successful job porting these subs.

talk about a failure in shipping, right idea, horrible execution
lol at least he tried //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif you should have seen some boxes ive gotten, EXACTLY like that picture with a couple poor little crushed pool noodles in the bottom

some people just really dont understand the concept

Got bored and measured the coils but only took 3 out of 4 pictures of the 4 coils for some reason (next to the onkyo for any HT fans out there). Trying to find excuses to use my new camera now.

basically a hugeeee fail so far with the ported box. i've realized that it is wayyyy more room than i had planned for, and i intended it for one. i'm going to make a new baffle and throw both of them in there and see how it sounds.

its great on the higher stuff, got retardedly loud with one only going off about 600 watts im sure. but couldn't even get near anything low. barely even audible...
