The TC surrounds is what makes them the ***!!!! They look like they could excurt 6 inches.

Same surrounds as the new RL-P's

BTW they aren't TC-exclusive, they are referred to as "high-roll surrounds", but I 100% agree with u on the ***.

I sold my BNIB for about 15% less than what I paid for it because after they were out for a little while, a few started having problems with the cones coming unglued or something like that. I knew it would be hard to get parts for them so I didn't want to mess with it. It sure was a nice looking sub though. Maybe to big for some installs though. The second to the last pic is the TC compared to a RL-i 8. That hybrid RE/ FI in the last pic is a beefy little 10in sub but compared to the TC sub, it looks small.

Anyone who owns a TC-10 OEM, please chime in. What power do you have going to yours, what size box, and based upon those 2 factors how do u like it?? what do you wish you did differently enclosure or power-wise???

like someone said above.. be gentle with these.. I had one and pushed 1kw @2 through it with my MD2D and the surround came off. Sent it in for a replacement and they sent me back a IS-101 SVC so i really couldnt use it. Loved how it sounded though. It got rediculously low with 2 PR's. Lower than my mag or Q.

I even asked to replace it and they said sorry, that is the best they can do.

heres the box james built for me .6cuft after displacement. it sounded awesome in there.. some thought it was a 12"

2nd box i had for it.. with 1 PR, kyle said 1 pr with no weights was equal to low 30hz, believe me it got really low... i wanted to tune higher so they sent me a 2nd and eh it was kinda tough to tune with pr's so i moved onto a new set up after the surround came off and they sent me a sub that i couldnt use.

i dont think its rare.. but thats the IS-101 that they sent for replacement. they told me that it was identical to the TC10OEM's except it had a shortning ring to lower distortion or something. too bad they sent me a SVC though

those are some sexy subs, ive always wanted 1 but the problems i keep hearing about turn me away from them, the best looking part to me is the cone/dustcap/surround, but the motor looks nice too

I used to have one, gave me problems though, the plate on the motor shifted. I read a lot of people have problems with these drivers. Sexy little beast though.

Thanks for the design, I might actually use something like that (except for 2 subs of course).

And yeah after what i've heard about PR's (and the trouble I might have finding one), I am just gonna throw them in a sealed box and call it a day.

Good to hear these subs can get loud too, though.

I havent heard of many problems, but I have heard of a couple. Lets just hope I don't have any problems with mine...
