Are you just wanting to see if it turns on, or actually test to be sure it outputs sound?

If you just want to see if it turns on, then you can use either a 12VDC power supply, or a spare 12VDC battery and connect both the constant (yellow) and acc (red) wires to the positive and black wire to the ground and it should turn on.

If you want to see if it actually outputs sound, then you could do the above, with the obvious addition of either connect speakers directly to the HU or connecting an amplifier (which is connected to speakers)
