Test my amp?

I was recently in a car accident n I totaled my car n got arrested for resisting. I got all my equiptment out of my car and I was asking if I could test my amp on a spare battery? I called a local shop n he said that I could just hook up the wires to the plus n negative on the battery. But he said I would have to cut the ring terminals off n wrap the copper wires around the post. Is there anyway I could keep from cutting my terminals?

Another ? I cant afford insurance n I wasnt covered at the time and I hit a utility pole at about 25mph didnt break it or ne thing or even dent it. But Im guessing that I knocked some wires loose up there. You have ne idea how much I should expect the bill to be? And is that going to raise my insurance alot now being n a wreck without insurance n being 22yr old male. And finally I think theyre going to suspend my license. Will I have to pay for all the damages b4 I can get my DL back. I had a passenger too n she went to the hospital for minor head injuries but she has medicade. Think medicade will sue me?
